Job Summary
Description: The University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign(http://illinois.edu/) and the Department of Kinesiology and CommunityHealth (http://kch.illinois.edu/) seek to hire an outstanding facultymember in the area of physical activity, brain function, and mentalhealth. The position is a nine-month, tenure track appointment at therank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The scope of theposition encompasses scientists with expertise related to using exerciseand movement behaviors to improve brain function and mental healthoutcomes including, but not limited to, cognition, emotion, and stressamong human populations with or without disease. The successfulcandidate will also contribute to teaching and service missions in theDepartment and collaborate with other growing areas such as disabilityand/or health technology, as well as with our colleagues in engineering,psychology, and neuroscience. Qualifications: The successful candidates should have received adoctoral degree in kinesiology or a related field by August 16, 2024. Arecord of academic scholarship that meets qualifications for the desiredrank (i.e., Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) is required.Demonstrated excellence in college or university-level teaching isdesired. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to conductingrigorous research with the potential to receive extramural funding. Thecandidate must be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduateteaching and mentoring. Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic position, appointed on a 9-monthbasis. Salary is commensurate with experience.
