　　​ Position Overview

　　The Senior Process Modeling Engineer is a simulation and modeling Specialist who will play a role in our company's ongoing efforts to conceptualize, design, and optimize products, processes, and systems. Leveraging cutting-edge simulation tools, they will provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and innovation.

　　Responsibilities

　　Design and develop sophisticated simulation models that mimic real-world scenarios and provide predictive outcomes.

　　Analyze simulation results to draw insights, identify trends, and provide recommendations.

　　Use modeling to optimize product designs, manufacturing processes, and other business-critical operations.

　　Work closely with other departments to integrate simulation findings into projects.

　　Stay updated with the latest in simulation software, ensuring the company utilizes the best tools available.

　　Ensure that models are accurate representations of real-world scenarios by comparing results with empirical data.

　　Create detailed documentation for all models, including assumptions, methodologies, and findings.

　　Remain with the latest trends in modeling and simulation, attending workshops, courses, and conferences as necessary.

　　Train & mentor engineers on simulation tools and techniques, ensuring the spread of knowledge and best practices within LanzaJet.

　　Requirements

　　BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable engineering discipline.

　　5+ years of experience with simulation tool development, preferably using Aspen/Hysys.  Experience with Unisim may also acceptable.

　　Skilled in development and optimization of process flow scheme using the process simulation.

　　Demonstrated experience mentoring others as a simulation Subject Matter Expert (SME).

　　Owner of simulation model for optimization, development, and heat integration.

　　Experience problem solving using simulation software.

　　Working in a team environment as the lead for process simulation.

　　Past responsibility to verify/approve process package technical deliverables including simulation model.

　　Advanced Skills

　　Advanced knowledge of process safety and how to incorporate safety in process design.

　　Advanced knowledge of major unit operations which include but not limited to separators, distillation columns, compression, reactors and adsorbers. Understanding of utility systems, heat integration, process control and material selection criteria.

　　Skilled in process economic analysis.
