What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI is seeking a Supervisory Clerical contractor to work on-site in Washington, DC. in support of the Civil Rights Division, Housing and Civil Enforcement Section. Please note this is not a remote position. The selected individual must be able to work onsite at least 2 day a week in Washington, DC
At the Department of Justice, the Housing and Civil Enforcement Section of the Civil Rights Division brings suit on behalf of the United States to enforce the Fair Housing Act, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), disability, and familial status. The Act authorizes the Department to bring suits where investigations yield evidence of a pattern or practice of illegal housing discrimination.
This is an Entry Level position.
Works independently to provide executive level administrative support. Oversees the development and dissemination of information on behalf of Unit leadership.
Manages the calendar of the Deputy Chief(s).
Schedules meetings, trainings, and assists with Section-sponsored conferences.
Creates agendas, coordinates and distributes materials, and takes notes during meetings.
Tracks case-related data and information and provides reports to the Deputy Chief(s) on a regular basis.
Retrieves voicemail as necessary.
Processes AG and AAG memos.
Makes travel arrangements in E2 and completes 1164 for staff members as necessary.
Logs incoming mail.
Formats and edits letters for final; makes documents 508 Compliant and works within related databases.
More About the Role:
Directs and supervises clerical staff in performing support functions such as photocopying, courier/ delivery services, document retrieval, faxing information, etc.
Performs quality control and ensures timely delivery of all specified deliverables.
Tracks progress of all clerical activities and reports status to appropriate Contractor manager.
Arranges routine and emergency servicing and maintenance of office equipment.
Oversees the organization and maintenance of correspondence files.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including PCs, printers, photocopiers, scanners, telephone systems, fax machines, numbering and binding equipment, etc.
Must be able to print clearly.
Attention to detail very important; ability to work well in a team environment very important; ability to read and follow instructions explicitly very important. Ability to prioritize work for a number of people.
Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete task correctly (e.g. where instructions are not explicit or appear to be contrary to the task objective).
Good oral and written communications skills.
High school diploma or GED required.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
Supervisory experience
Experience in automated litigation support
Spanish language skills preferred but not required.
