The LEGO Group Business Service Operations (BSO APAC), is part of the Global established shared service center (BSO) that delivers HR and Finance services to the entire LEGO Group from 6 locations; Mexico, Kladno, Singapore, Billund, China & now Vietnam. The purpose of the BSO is to create an effective and efficient platform for growth to support our strategy and reach twice as many kids over the next 5-7 years
As a Senior Manager and Regional Service lead for BSO APAC Payroll team, you will report directly to the head of BSO APAC and be responsible for the leadership & daily operations of the BSO APAC Payroll team, while ensuring our services are delivered with the right quality & in alignment with BSO Global processes & practices as principle
You will become part of the BSO APAC leadership team where you will have a key role entering with a strategic & tactic mind-set to develop the BSO APAC Payroll team, add value to the business on the processes & services we deliver on the LEGO Group.
You will also collaborate closely with the Global Payroll team and BSO APAC Leadership Team Stream heads for functional support & Global stream direction
Core Responsibilities:
Strong leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, engage and coach employees in building high performing and service oriented culture for BSO Employee Service – Payroll function to support the business across APAC
Oversee and manage payroll operations for APAC (Including Vietnam)
Support global payroll projects & regional projects as needed
Partner closely with and supports employees and internal stakeholders, handles issue resolution, process optimization, and collaborates with the finance accounting team to ensure proper reporting and recording of payroll related cost.
Strong Key Performance Indicator (KPI) management and ability to lead & coach continuous improvement mindset
Proven great communication & collaboration skills and excellent stakeholder management internally and externally
Do you have what it takes?
Prefer candidates with Master’s degree in human resource or business-related field or equivalent working experience & preferably within shared service center context
5-7+ years of leadership experience in leading multicultural team and international experience from a multinational company a preference
Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant payroll processing and statutory / legislation compliance experience in APAC, experience with outsource payroll vendor management
Experience with accounting principles & Practices, Tax Filling/Reporting
Understanding of Financial and Reconciliation, understanding of Compensation and Wage Structures
Experience of working and driving in a high collaborative environment under global setting, while delivering local deliveries & promoting coherence and end-to-end perspective
Strong communication & stakeholder management
Manage multiple tasks and priorities successfully in a pragmatic working day, sense of urgency
Strong Business acumen, understanding how business work, and how BSO plays a critical role for the LEGO Group on process optimization and value add on scalability & productivity agenda
Nice to Have:
Effective communication with team, leadership and stakeholder
Experience with HRM system, i.e. Workday, SAP
Solid experience in full spectrum of end to end payroll processing, including controls, compliance, attention to Confidentiality & Data Privacy
Detail-oriented, organized with solid time-management experience and able to work under time pressure.
Payroll / HCM implementation experience is a plus
Project and change management experience
