　　In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

　　Support the reliability and sustainability of custom automated laboratory equipment in a high throughput environment.

　　Within IDT’s quality system, you will coordinate and perform preventative maintenance services and address unplanned maintenance services on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidics, and optical devices/systems, as well as PLC Controlled systems.

　　Ensure operation of custom automated laboratory equipment by completing preventive and unplanned service in compliance with IDT’s quality system by following Standard Operating Procedure and Work Instruction documents while performing maintenance procedures.

　　The essential requirements of the job include:

　　Ability to perform maintenance procedures following prescribed instructions and to learn and apply custom automated laboratory equipment service.

　　Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, fluidics, optical devices/systems, controls systems and other equipment as typically acquired by an associate degree (Engineering or Maintenance), at least two years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

　　Ability to exert force, 50-100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 25-50 lbs. of force frequently. Constant (67%-100% of workday).

　　It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

　　Automation equipment testing and troubleshooting preferred—including Beckhoff TwinCat/EtherCat and Unitronic or similar control systems.

　　Following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.

　　Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills—including the ability to use hand and power tools.
