Rubber Tire Backhoe Operator

　　Jr. Davis Construction Company Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to fill the position of Heavy Equipment Operator.  This individual will be responsible for operating heavy construction equipment on a grading or utility construction site.

　　We are one of the largest heavy highway and civil construction firms in the state with over 900 employees, while still retaining a family business atmosphere.

　　COMPENSATION: Based on experience. Our OJT (On the Job Training) will allow you to move up in our company as your skill set expands.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Able to safely and effectively operate heavy construction equipment on a grading or utility construction site.

　　Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment; reports defects and repairs to maintenance department.

　　Possess experience operating heavy equipment such As bull dozers, loaders, rubber tire backhoes, land clearing, logging, feller buncher, grapple, excavators, skid steer, Grader Operator and motor grades.

　　Job will require long periods of sitting. Other duties as assigned.

　　Job will occasionally require lifting things weighing over 40 lbs.

　　Requirements:

　　3 recent years’ experience working as a Heavy Equipment Operator

　　Active Driver license.

　　Must have a safety first attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required

　　Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.

　　Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.

　　Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

　　Knowledge & Skills:

　　A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

　　Ability to listen, follow directions, and have a willingness to continue to enhance skills.
