Description

Our client, in the construction industry, is looking for a Bookkeeper/Accounting candidate to join their team on a contract basis! This would be about 3-6 months, however, high possibility to go temp-to-hire for the right individual. They're a great organization, that is experiencing growth, and looking for extra hands to help the team. The role would be working closely with the Accounting Manager, who loves to teach, and help candidates find their strengths.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has previous construction experience, ideally as a bookkeeper, however, open to candidates who are Accounting Clerks, and looking to build on their experience. Someone who is willing to continue learning and yet open to helping the team with what is needed will be a great fit.

Responsibilities:

• Being a liaison between the accounting team and the Accounting Manager

• Assist with month-end close

• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy

• Perform bank reconciliations to verify the integrity of data

• Stay current with all accounting tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely manner

• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis

• Review AP/AR

• Efficiently use Sage Software for accounting tasks

• Carry out Ledger Account Reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
