Job PurposeDana is looking for an energetic and experienced individual to assist in launching Dana's Sustainable Mobility Center (SMC). SMC is a world class training, prototype, and testing facility and this role will be responsible for overseeing multiple aspects of new program launch including process development, line layout and uptime optimization.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead process launch activities as it relates to new part types on existing equipmentDesign and development of standard bill of processes (SBOP) required to assemble xEV productsShare and deploy best practices for manufacturing and assembly of electrified systemsEnsures Health & Safety guidelines are followed throughout manufacturing activities and highlights any potential improvementsLeads and participates in equipment preventive maintenance and timely resolution of functional issues, ensures availability of critical spare parts and suppliesOversee machine runoff on new equipment to ensure proper functioning of all equipmentMaintain layout utilizing 2D software of plant and work with contractors to implement changes required for new and existing equipmentCoordinate with GME (Global Manufacturing Engineering), application engineering and other functional groups to develop and document initial processes for new programsSupport SMC on critical manufacturing issues such as quality problems, equipment technical support, measurement criteria, etc.Review BOM's and coordinate with the project management and materials team to define part and process routings for sample buildsDevelops/ maintains standard manufacturing / quality documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, BOPY, MSA Plan, Work instructions, Functional Safety, etc.) for standard and non-standard processesLead the identification, implementation, and evaluation of lean initiatives to increase productivity, efficiency rates and reduce downtimeTrain operators and supervisors on new processes and changes to normal operationsAnalyze and support engineering deviations and change requestsUtilize 3D software to design and source tooling and fixturing for new programsPerforms other duties as requiredEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology.2+ years of manufacturing and assemblyProven understanding of various MRP tools, experience in SAP a plusExperience using 3D and 2D CAD softwareExperience with PLM - TeamcenterExperience in pre-production, prototype and/or launch environmentDemonstrated proficiencies with automotive and other motion systemsFamiliarity in a technical manufacturing environmentElectric Vehicle experience a plusDiagnostics experience in manufacturing environment (machine, equipment, etc.)High voltage safety knowledge preferred.
