ResponsibilitiesThe Grundner Lab () is looking for an outstanding Research Scientist I in microbiology or biochemistry with an interest in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) pathogenesis.Tuberculosis is the deadliest infectious disease that causes a permanent pandemic in many resource-poor countries. This position is an opportunity to do meaningful work towards a better understanding of the biology and pathogenesis of this pathogen and to contribute to early drug development. The position has excellent potential for growth and professional development.Applicants should be highly motivated, driven, and strong multi-taskers who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with Mtb in a state-of-the-art BSL-3 laboratory and to train in cutting edge microbiology, molecular biology, and biochemical approaches to answer fundamental questions about Mtb pathogenesis.
