Job Description
Position Overview
As the Director of Thermal Development and New Technology withinInvenergy\'s Emerging Technology Group, you will be responsible fordeveloping greenfield and brownfield standalone combustion turbine andcombined cycle projects including carbon capture across RTO\'s in theUnited States.
This role can be located in any of Invenergy\'s US based offices or beremote (within the United States).
Responsibilities
Develop multiple projects that support Origination of PPA and BuildTransfer opportunities.Evaluate available thermal power generation technologies that may bedeployed to meet market needs. Technologies will be dispatchable andutilize natural gas or fuel oil and may include carbon capture.Support market entry analysis, site evaluation, permit ability andacquisition.Perform and manage internal and external resource developmentactivities, such as: site acquisition, real estate and titlecurative, interconnection, regulatory approvals, engineering, landuse permitting and environmental permitting.Manage and direct economic model development and financialevaluation.Work collaboratively with the Engineering team to determinetechnology to be used its performance and capital costs.Create and manage project development budget and project capitalcost estimate.Report and execute project management throughout the projectdevelopment lifecycle.Work collaboratively with the Regulatory team to understand keymarket drivers and target critical markets for project development.Work collaboratively with the Commercial Analytics team to identifykey requirements for system sizing and operational requirements.Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, state and local officials,industry associations and other stakeholders.Required Skills
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field of study.7-10+ years of experience in a similar role and industry.Familiarity with utility-scale project development, as well asthermal energy production and development.Strong organizational, networking, leadership, and time managementskills.Willingness to participate in development activities with localcommunities.A valid driver\'s license and the ability to travel up to 25% of thetime to project sites.#LIREMOTE
