The .NET Developer will have a primary focus on providing expert level programming with robust technical design capabilities. Candidates will be able to implement design patterns such as MVC and MVP. The .NET Developer will work collaboratively with the Business Analysts, Application Architect’s, and the Customer to transform business requirements into a technical solution. USPS is looking for the .NET Developer to have a strong ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with a team.

HOW A .NET DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Expert applications developer with robust technical design capabilities including experience implementing design patterns such as MVC and MVP

Works collaboratively with a development team to transform business requirements into a technical solution

Ability to work independently in the writing and support of complex applications

May take on specialized duties on the development team as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education :

BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field is preferredRequired Experience :

5 years minimum experience in .NET TechnologiesRequired Skills and Abilities:

Strong programming, design, and analytic skills

A good understanding of object-oriented analysis and design, including Single Page Application (SPA) design

Excellent working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core

Excellent working knowledge of web formats and scripting languages such as JSON, HTML, and JavaScript

Demonstrated experience with cloud-based applications platforms such as Azure

Demonstrated experience with web services and REST APIs

Demonstrated experience working in the Agile software development methodology

Demonstrated experience with T-SQL and basic DDL interactions with SQL Server

Demonstrated experience using JavaScript-based UI frameworks such as AngularJS

Proficient experience writing and support complex applications including features such as document upload/storage, workflow management, automatic notifications, and dynamic user roles

Desired Skills:

Demonstrated experience with Test Driven Development

Demonstrated experience working within an Azure PaaS environment

Demonstrated UI/UX design experience

Strong communication skills ranging from solutioning to documentation

Prior professional experience as a Release Manager, Tech Lead, or Applications Architect

Demonstrated experience with AI tools and technologies

Security Clearance Level :

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3 years.

The likely salary range for this position is $97,063 - $131,321. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
