We actively encourage applications and/or nominations of persons of color, women, veterans, persons with disabilities and other individuals.KCTCS is an equal opportunity employer and educational institution.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThe primary purpose of the Food Service Supervisor is to manage the grill and food service operation of Hopkinsville Community College.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES1.Food preparation that ensures the safety and quality of food.2.Ensure all duties are performed as required to ensure high quality customer service.3.Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the food service area. Maintain equipment.4.Order and maintain supplies for the food service area. Ensure that all food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.5.Supervise food service personnel. Assign and coordinate employee schedules to promote efficiency of operation.6.Manage budget for food services, prepare reports, and prepare billing for events.7.Work with Health Department to meet state standards in food service.8.Other duties as assigned by Chief Business Affairs Officer.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS•Associate degree and three years related work experience, or equivalent.•Excellent communication and customer service skills.•Organizational skills.•Attention to detail.•Previous supervisory experience preferred.•Previous budget experience preferred.KY law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.Initial review of applicants will begin February 5, 2024.Applicants will be notified if selected for an interview.For questions regarding the above position, contact us by emailing [email protected]
