Job duties include conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. This Financial Analyst role, which is located in the Salinas, California, is a permanent employment opportunity. What you get to do every single day
Support Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P& L forecasting
Ensure business partners handle their resources by tracking monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations
Work with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Work alongside cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to see the proper execution of plans
Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required
Deliver valuable foresight and decision support by enabling effective Business Intelligence (BI)
Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives through the development of financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date
Produce and manage forecasting reports
Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending
The ideal candidate should be a highly flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information Requirements - Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience prioritized)
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Background working with Perform Data Analysis
Data Analytics experience highly preferred
Earlier work involving Statistical Data Analysis
Foundational knowledge in Fiscal Management
GAAP Accounting experience
Fiscal Policy experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Spreadsheets
Good understanding of business analysis
US GAAP experience preferred
Practical knowledge of Data Analysis
Financial auditing experience highly desired
Adeptness in Financial Audits
General familiarity with Public Schools
