Description

We have an opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant in Sonoma County, California. The role centers around managing accounting records, supporting invoicing, collections, client financing, and accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of customer credit applications

• Uphold the integrity of our customer credit records

• Manage the client financing process to aid our project managers

• Take a lead role in invoicing and collections, ensuring a balance between customer satisfaction and business needs

• Provide support for accounts payable and bill processing

• Carry out G/L account reconciliation and journal entry processing as required

• Uphold and enhance financial control mechanisms

• Play a key role in job cost accounting and inventory tracking

• Assist with the compliance of Subcontractor payments

• Contribute to CRM support and ensure data accuracy

• Support weekly payroll processing

• Manage both inbound and outbound mail and packages as needed

• Assist with office organization, event planning, and employee recognition initiatives

• Ensure data entry accuracy, insurance follow-ups, and basic bookkeeping

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the accounting sector

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Proven ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks accounting software

• Prior experience or knowledge in the Construction industry would be advantageous
