Summary
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the candidate will assist in the processing and analysis of data-related issues using existing algorithms and software for small-scale projects within the group. Tasks include routine quality control, normalization, batch effect removal, across-modality integration, and genomic feature detection using existing algorithms and software.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Data Processing
Process the raw data collected from public studies or from wet labs.
Quality check to evaluate and clean the raw data.
Conduct standard data analysis according to the computational pipeline.
Generate formal data quality evaluation and standard analysis report to the PI and the data generator
Assists in the development of computational pipeline
Assist in organizing the existing tools into the reproducible pipeline for analyzing bulk, single-cell, and spatial multi-omics data in human cancer studies.
Maintain reproducible analysis and organize the scripts and results on the server logically.
Organize instructions for running the computational pipeline for future internal use or publication
Computational support
Assists with the maintenance of computational pipelines and tutorials and the overall computational organization and resources of the lab.
Participate and help other lab members with ongoing projects in the lab.
Assist with the preparation of grant applications and progress reports.
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Genome Science or related field.
