　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　Vascular Ultrasound Technologist

We are currently seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist (or Vascular Sonographer), you will perform diagnostic non-invasive vascular procedures on adult and geriatric patients with a high degree of quality as requested by the ordering physician following established policies and procedures. 　　Your tasks and responsibilities as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist include but are not limited to:

　　Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered including but not limited to collative study results, reason for the procedure, patient complaints/symptoms and history relating to the ability to withstand a vascular procedure

　　Facilitate the vascular procedure by proper placement of the probe in

　　accordance with the instructions in the department policy and procedure manual

　　Assist, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring their modesty and physical safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and or devices needed

　　Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of procedure area and equipment to prevent cross contamination of contagious diseases, and keep area stocked with necessary supplies

　　Please note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments.

　　Qualifications

　　High school diploma or GED

　　Associate degree

　　Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

　　Eligible for ARDMS registration; RVT preferred

　　One (1) to three (3) years of experience, preferably in an acute-care setting
