Working with us, you will: Be acollaborative team member, using your multimodal traffic engineeringexpertise to shape and guide the development of complex projects fromconcept to final design that range from complete streets and urbantrails to urban design, mixed-use development, and campus planningprojects. Work with a multidisciplinary team of planning and designprofessionals from SmithGroup offices across the country. Independentlyscope and conduct traffic engineering studies across a range of scalesusing the latest software platforms and analytical tools. Ability todetermine and facilitate the collection of traffic and transportationdata for multiple modes of travel (vehicle, bike, pedestrian), includingmanaging subconsultants or other traffic data providers. Engage withMarketing, Business Development and other disciplines to effectivelymarket our services in our growing mobility practice, includinginvolvement in the preparation of qualification and proposal packages,interview materials and technical proposals as well as participate inthought leadership opportunities. An ideal candidate has: A Bachelor\'sDegree in Civil Engineering with demonstratable expertise with trafficengineering principles, practices, and tools. Minimum 5 years ofexperience working as a traffic engineer. Preferred office location AnnArbor or Detroit. Professional Registration (PE) required. ProfessionalTraffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification a plus. Expertise inmulti-modal corridor design principles and methods - especially relatedto active transportation infrastructure.
