Description Enjoy a challenging position at a well-known company as a Payroll Clerk. Robert Half has a position available for a Payroll Clerk to join the dynamic team at one of our clients. This position will require a variety of duties such as data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Being able to effectively communicate with both internal team members and outside customers is crucial to succeeding on this dynamic, fast-growing team. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Sewickley, Pennsylvania area and is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment role.

　　What you get to do every day

　　Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

　　Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals

　　Supply the organization with instructions/training regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

　　Devise a system of administering and distributing reports

　　Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

　　Update data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

　　Configure custom reports Requirements - Union payroll experience required

　　Solid understanding of Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)

　　Foundational knowledge in Multi-state Payroll

　　Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel

　　Multi-state payroll experience

　　Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

　　Skillful in learning new processes and systems

　　Accurate, swift, data entry abilities

　　Prior knowledge in Payroll software

　　Strong time management and organizational skills

　　Previous payroll experience

　　Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
