  DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs an intern, you will assist park staff in various projects while gaining experience in Park Operations, Resource Management, Law Enforcement, Administration and Environmental Education. You will also assist in the planning, preparation, and completion of specialized park improvement projects that involve other staff and volunteers. In this position, you will be assigned and responsible for specific projects with projected goals and deadlines, which will require a large degree of independent work and initiative to plan, research, collect data for, collaborate, coordinate, execute, and report the completion of the project.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/24 to 8/30/24.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Schedule may vary, weekends and holidays may be required.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:Recreation, Park, and Tourism ManagementPark and Resource ManagementEnvironmental Science/StudiesAn approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.Freshman year completedGood academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

  Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
