GENERAL SUMMARY
Provides day-to-day strategic guidance and expertise on KB Homes advertising. Creates briefs, strategies, POVs, presentations, research reports, and other strategic deliverables. Works closely with analytics, creative, media, and account teams to create remarkable work that’s on-strategy. Close working relationship with CMO and marketing team. Present briefs and strategies to day-to-day client (brand CMO).
This individual is a strong subject matter expert on client business, category, and consumer insights. He or she is a rising leader in a group. This person will work closely with research, qualitative and quantitative. He or she must have great writing and presentation skills, be fluent with data but also able to tease out a broader story from it, manage multiple work-streams independently, and be a very strong client partner.
The KB client is a very hands-on and familial yet respectful culture. It is important that this strategist can read the room, speak open and honestly, be extremely detailed and be part of a “thinking” organization. We question everything on KB… big and small. This person should have the chops to do that.
Day to Day:
Guide day-to-day workflow on multiple projects, with support of planning leadership. Must be a leader, a self-starter who does not shy away from their ideas, and an optimizer. Personable, sociable, and is readily available and present to support client.
Strong brief writer of actionable strategic writing and has gravity with clients including their research team; has experience working with Senior Leadership in an organization.
Contributes to and consults on research. Works with our internal research team to create smart and effective research approaches – mainly creative and strategy evaluation research. Distills insights from KB research group brand tracker study to help inform strategies.
Curious and entrepreneurial approach to planning, including innovative approaches, target development, behavioral briefs, etc. Has the ability to solve problems in a room, on a call, on big business problems in a market where it’s challenging to sell homes.
Represents value and impact of strategy to client and internal stakeholders. Has the ability to not just have great ideas, but to also persuade others to buy into their ideas verbally and in writing while being open to others’ ideas.
Driver of integration across working teams on a given project or campaign – creative, media, analytics, account, etc. Ensures work is on-strategy and remarkable.
Proactively spot business opportunities for KB and for Team One in the near and long term; having a growth mindset.
Fluency in consumers, culture, context including social/mobile/digital channels, research and more. Able to connect the dots and speak to all Strategy deliverables such as comms plan, social strategy, big idea, etc.
Writes and secures business effectiveness award case studies: Responsible for taking the lead on writing and winning business effectiveness case studies.
Experience: 5+ years of experience working as a strategist at an integrated agency
Education: College degree is strongly preferred; graduate degree is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
Must be proficient with basic computer programs including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Must be hardworking, articulate, creative, curious, and analytical
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a predisposition toward embracing the many details, many meetings, many opinions, all the rework required to thrive in the brands culture
Works well under pressure and can manage multiple work-streams independently
Empathetic and effective mentor and collaborator and is an easy-going and polished client partner

Compensation Range: $73,500.00 - $123,500.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
