This position also manages a variety of production tasks including research, guest bookings and pre-interviewing, location scouting, field producing, writing scripts, maintaining production budget, overseeing staff, obtaining relevant media and archival material, scheduling, and supporting talent.Please note this is a fixed-term position (30+ hours per week) funded through June 2024.Specific responsibilities include: * Research relevant topics, cultures, and foods to be included in a segment or program; * Manage the set-up and logistics for field productions and guest interviews; * Field produce segments from start to finish; * Coordinate with the Executive Producer to make great editorial decisions -- with a keen eye on politics, business, food, and culture; * Communicate with show teams, production teams, and talent on all show-related rundowns and changes; * Oversee any project changes and effectively revise timelines, team priorities, and estimates as needed; * Manage guest bookings and pre-interviewing; * Manage the sourcing, gathering and clearing archival materials, including graphics, footage, music; * Work closely with field crews and internals departments; * Delegate responsibilities as appropriate to Production Assistant, field crews and editors; * Supervise post-production, reviewing segments cuts and story producing; * Maintain production call sheets, budgets & invoices; * Additional duties, as assigned.Qualified candidates will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve.
