The SeniorEquipment and Automation Engineer, within the Corporate Operationsdepartment, is the technical subject matter expert in their area ofexpertise. They will be responsible for leading new productintroductions and design transfer efforts of new equipment from R&D, aswell as providing guidance for improvements to existing equipment. Thisposition will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams in amatrix organization to plan and successfully execute larger projects. Anemphasis will be on new pieces of equipment, supporting efforts tospecify, develop, procure, document, install, commission, and executeprojects within scope, on time, and on budget. This position supports acollaborative environment that promotes positive teamwork where allmembers are working for the good of Exact Sciences. Essential Duties Includebut are not limited to the following: Develop processes and proceduresfor new equipment. Represent Engineering in cross-functionalinitiatives, as assigned, and act on behalf of the department asappropriate. Manage new product introductions, design transfers, andproduct changes to ensure optimal implementation into production.Identify opportunities, analyze data, and work with cross functionalteams to implement solutions that improve production quality,capability, reliability, or reduce costs. Determine designspecifications, builds prototypes, tests equipment, and criticallyevaluates design concepts for functionality, reliability andmanufacturability.
