  Summary: Responsible for marketing functions in support of food service program focusing on initial implementation and maintenance of all marketing communication pieces. Ability to effectively communicate programs and promotions to guests and associates is an essential function. Must have the ability to collaborate with Marketing Manager in conducting all marketing related functions including surveys, guest relations, social networking, etc.

  Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Create marketing materials to numerous specifications.

  Maintain cohesive database of all electronic materials for future use.

  Manage signage in dining hall.

  Assist with the creation of concepts, campaigns, and imagery to effectively and efficiently disseminate messages to the target market.

  Manage website and social networking profile content.

  Assist with writing copy for advertisements and other materials.

  Answer telephones, maintaining proper phone etiquette, and taking accurate messages

  Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, student’s parents and Food Service Supervisor.

  Attend meetings or other events as required.

  Other duties may be assigned.

  Qualifications:

  Ability to read and write English.

  Must relate well with fellow employees, students and staff.

  Must be clean and well groomed, have a positive attitude and a willingness to work.

  Ability to follow oral and written directions and adapt to changing situations.

  Ability to use basic computer programs like Excel and Word.

  Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.

  Please be prepared to show portfolio.

  Language Skills: Ability to read , understand and speak basic English to perform essential functions of the job. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to customers and other employees of the organization.

  Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract and balance strands of numbers.

  Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  Other Qualifications: Ability to understand technical qualifications for printing as well as transmitting files.
