　　Responsibilities

　　Perform basic patient care and ophthalmic testing procedures as directed by an Ophthalmologist.

　　Prepare examination and treatment rooms.

　　Obtain patient history, perform basic and routine vision screening examinations, administer eye medications and assist with minor office procedures.

　　Review the appointment schedule, complete forms, and process records.

　　Clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments. Maintain and stock supplies as needed.

　　Teach proper contact lens care to insure proper insertion and removal and proper sanitary conditions.

　　Confirm accuracy of contact lens and glasses deliveries and dispenses according to physician direction and patient preference.

　　Requirements

　　Licensure / Certification / Registration:

　　BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

　　Certification specializing in Opthalmology preferred.

　　Education:

　　High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Additional Preferences
