Description:
The Planner collaborates with various departments and stakeholders to gather, document and analyze capacity & build requirements, processes and workflows. The position will translate these requirements into material planning and production floor scheduling to ensure successful wire and cable deliveries to both internal and external customers. This individual will also be involved in identifying areas for process improvement and recommending solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with company departments personnel to determine material purchasing needs and requirements for production.
• Elicit document and analyze capacity requirements versus available capacity to request new machine builds, & tooling.
• Translate short- and long-term forecasts into production build plans, material plans, headcount requirements, and equipment capacity requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between different functions within Stranding, Wire & Cable manufacturing departments.
• Input and maintain database of all build plans (MRP included), material planning, and monitor process outputs.
• Initiate and participate in process improvements.
• Perform inventory cycle counts, cycle counts, spot counts, research any variances and authorize appropriate inventory adjustments.
• Work with warehouse personnel to facilitate production supply deliveries.
• Generate key KPI reports relevant to process inputs and outputs.

• Proven experience in production planning, analysis and inventory control principles.
• Strong knowledge of relevant tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power Point etc.
• Experience and proficient in analyzing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends and solutions.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgement.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Hands on experience with handling fast-paced environment.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
