About Safety Representative

  Job Description

  A client of Insight Global is looking for a Safety Representative to sit onsite in Fort Meade, MD. The day-to-day role revolves around ensuring the safety on the job site. They review and enforce safety requirements for all forces, conducting thorough onsite and full-site inspections. Regular inspections include a focus on work areas, emphasizing proper safety practices such as scaffolding and hardhat usage. Collaborating with the workforce, the Safety Representative addresses safety concerns and conducts training sessions to uphold high safety standards. In the event of incidents, they promptly document and write detailed reports, contributing to a proactive safety culture. With 5 years of experience, a high school diploma, and certifications including a 30-hour OSHA in construction, the Safety Representative plays a pivotal role in maintaining a secure and compliant work environment.

  Skills and Requirements

  * 5 years of experience as a Safety Representative

  * Highschool Diploma

  * Must hold 30-hour OSHA certification

  * Must hold OHST, CHST, or equivalent

  * Able to review subcontractor AHAs and provide input

  * Experience in working on construction projects with 10+ subcontractors

  * US citizen

  * Security clearance preferred but not required

  * Expertise in using Microsoft Office.

  * Familiarity with Procore

  * US Citizen *  Security clearance preferred but not required

  * Data center experience

  * Federal experience null
