Position SummaryPhysicians Assistant will provide a full range of ambulatory health care services for the MSU community and support to Occupational Health and Travel Clinic. Will also provide direct clinical services such as counseling patients traveling abroad regarding health risks and appropriately immunizing; conducting pre-employment physicals; performing preventative healthcare for current employees; conducting DOT physicals and conducting outside immunization clinics for MSU community. Medial assessment of patients and diagnosis of symptoms. Development of a treatment plan. Medical record chard documentation that supports diagnoses and thought process for treatment plan. The successful candidate would be committed to understanding the special needs of University students and employees. Clinic hours range from 7:30am to 5:00pm, M-F.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/SkillsKnowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree in an approved Physician Assistant program; State of Michigan license, and certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants or, to be obtained within six months of hire; one to three years of experience as a Physician's Assistant. May require experience in a specialty area such as surgery or pediatrics.
