  Discover Financial Services is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join their Cyber Capabilities and Services team to support the organizations’ goal of optimizing the analysis of security events and integrating technologies. Its intent is to ensure consistency and continuity of incident identification, analysis, triage, and escalation. Strong Collaboration with incident handling, Threat and response teams to decrease risk to the organization by improving upon defensive, detective, and response-related cybersecurity capabilities. You will create meaningful, actionable outputs to improve detection and prevention capabilities.

  Responsibilities

  Research innovative solutions which enable rapid analysis and response to security incidents at the enterprise scale.

  Assist in the design and development of security solutions and processes consistent with Cyber Incident and Threat Management program goals.

  Provides program subject matter expertise to influence Cyber-led security optimization initiatives.

  Operationalize event-based analysis for threat hunting. Perform Individual day to day hunt to proactively find threats in DFS environment.

  Perform Structured hunt based on vulnerability to DFS to identify and fix issues with existing technologies or controls

  Develops mitigation and countermeasure strategies based on knowledge of attack tactics and techniques

  Work with the alert logic creation team to develop succinct detection rules to identify threats in the environment

  Assist analysis and response functions during high impact cyber events. Conducts malware analysis to identify indicators of compromise, determine scope, and assess impact

  Builds and maintains effective relationships with peers and internal business partners

  Enriches team value by creating training and knowledge sharing opportunities

  Minimum Qualifications

  At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

  Bachelors – Computer Science, Information Security or related

  4+ Years – Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Data Analytics or related

  In lieu of a degree 8+ Years – Information Security, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related

  Internal applicants only: technical proficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus cybersecurity scale

  Develops ability to research and create new attack techniques, tactics and procedures for the security industry that were previously unknown.

  Preferred Qualifications

  Cyber Incident handling experience with diverse vendor tools and services

  Experience automating and enhancing incident workflows

  MITRE ATT&CK Framework

  GIAC (GCIH or GCIA or GCTI)GIAC

  OSCP

  Python, Scripting language

  Compensation:

  The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
