Description
As a Desktop Support Engineer, we are looking for:
Solid knowledge of device management systems and tools such as SCCM, Intune, Ivanit LanDesk, Mosyle, Jamf or other MDM solutions.
Proficient with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Batch, JSon, etc.
Proficient with packaging applications, patching, and update methodologies.
ability to support multi-domain environments.
Experience with GPO, Active Directory and Intune policies.
Experience with support end-user devices for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux experience is a plus.
Experience with any of these technologies is a plus (but not required):
Power Apps, Power Automate or Microsoft Flow.
Microsoft AutoPilot or no-touch/zero touch solutions.
Familiar with Azure AD and SharePoint
Must possess critical thinking skills with the ability to resolve complex business.
Act as liaison with business partners, such as WinTel, InfoSec, Networking, International Desktop Engineering teams, and Desktop Support.
Document technical aspects and solutions.
Build desktop strategies by preparing, testing, and recommending go-forward technologies.
Ability to quickly troubleshoot critical production issues spanning applications/infrastructure.
Recommend and evaluate new tools and methodologies as needed.
Working independently with limited supervision, and with other department personnel
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Information Technology, Computer Science or 5+ years of experience.
3+ years of experience in the role of a Desktop Engineer including:
Great work ethic; including a high sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly, creatively and efficiently.
We also expect a high sense of responsibility and the ability to influence others.
Ensure that sites and systems continuously and consistently run smoothly, optimally, efficiently and reliably.
Effectively work with your team you will be expected to hold a high level of organization, detail orientation, and the ability to articulate issues clearly.
