  A little bit about our team:

  The People team is a key part of Warner Music Group and is focused on attracting, retaining and developing exceptional people, enabling them to be the best they can be to drive Warner’s continued success in the market place. The team designs, implements and facilitates People programs around Recruitment, Management and Development, Employee Engagement, Compensation and Benefits and People Processes & Policies, to enable the people leaders within the business to execute best in practice. Our team also partners with the business to support key organisational initiatives. We are passionate about what we do, always striving for better, willing to focus and commit and happy to roll up our sleeves to support our colleagues.

  Your role:

  Our People team is evolving – we are looking for a creative, curious and commercially orientated business partner to engage with our business and drive the People agenda. A broad role, operating as a People Partner to our local UK client group, with the opportunity to get involved with work in Europe occasionally and covering all elements of the employee lifecycle. You will provide support on operational issues, effectuating the delivery of People strategy, advising on and challenging senior management thinking. The role partners with specialist teams to deliver people initiatives. Your cultural curiosity will yield great ideas and pragmatic ways to deliver these initiatives and enhance the employee experience!

  Here you’ll get to:

  Provide excellent People business partnering:

  Understand priorities, objectives and leadership styles in order to challenge and advise designated business leaders and managers.

  Tackle strategic and operational HR issues, provoking thinking and providing business feedback to maximise overall employee performance and productivity

  Create and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders in designated client groups.

  Challenge and coach leaders to continually grow and build high-performing teams

  Advise and influence on workforce planning, organisational design and development, talent management and talent retention

  Lead on client group merger and acquisitions and entry into new markets from a people partnering perspective

  Working in close partnership with senior leaders, manage:

  The annual merit and bonus planning process for your business groups, in partnership with Compensation and Benefits

  Talent Review: Mapping high potential employees, development planning and relevant people data capture in Workday and other tools

  Succession planning and supporting leaders to build training / hiring plans

  Engagement survey feedback and action planning

  Restructures: plan, action and deliver information and consultation processes that balance commercial and legal requirements, change management and communications

  Coach, mentor and dialogue with the People Operations to deepen their knowledge and understanding of what is taking place in the business. Provide supportive feedback in a timely manner and ensure that style and approach is flexed to their specific needs and way of working

  Manage employee relations issues with business leaders:

  Performance management (PIPs), grievance, disciplinary and organisational change processes. Make recommendations for the best approach. Responsible for all required documentation, for example, meeting notes and formal letters

  Run investigations as needed, coaching the manager and supporting the collection of relevant documentation. Ensure peer to peer review takes place when appropriate

  Work with WCM Global People Coordinator, UK and European FDs to collate and update regular reporting, organisation chart updates and data management

  Manage and advise on policy, process and employment law and where required input on any policy change

  Support managers in dealing with any short and long term absence issues; from advising on policy to workforce planning. Work with the People Operations and Benefits Teams to manage the cases, using benefits appropriately. Support any return to office (RTO) questions in partnership with the People Operations Team

  Review and understand financial data (headcount, forecasting etc) to understand commercial impacts and opportunities related to people

  Review data and notes collated from exit interviews, look for themes and, where appropriate, raise feedback to leaders and support in any change required

  Using people data, analyse client group themes and share insights

  Partner with People team specialists (e.g. compensation and benefits, talent and development, talent acquisition, people operations and people technology) and regional resources to use existing practices and knowledge to successfully deliver programs, initiatives and deliver on day to day requirements

  Special partnership with Talent Acquisition to ensure all parties, TA, People Partnering, hiring managers and department heads are all aligned on approach and we manage a solid pipeline of talent coming into the business

  About you:

  Demonstrable experience of working in a rapidly changing environment

  Proactive communication, customer/stakeholder management

  Maintain a high tolerance of ambiguity and offer a flexible approach

  Apply critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills to cut through complexity

  CIPD Qualified (or international equivalent)

  Demonstrate a data driven approach – you are highly analytical and able to draw insight from data and use/promote technology enablement

  Advocate the talent agenda and act as a culture champion

  Experience of talent management, talent development, performance management, discipline & grievance, change management including restructuring and redundancy

  Experience of working relatively autonomously with designated client groups and of working closely day to day with senior management, coaching where appropriate

  Good knowledge of employment law and strong previous experience of applying knowledge when providing day to day advice

  Project management and delivery capabilities

  Culturally curious, an inquisitive networker who uses insight from the external world and stays on top of trends in the market

  Driver of change

  Proven track record in generalist advisory/manager role

  Good conflict management, negotiation and influencing skills

  We’d love it if you also had:

  Experience working within the music, tech or media industry, although certainly not essential

  Experience of HR systems (Workday)

  Some knowledge / experience of working with client groups in Europe
