　　Millwright Apprentice

　　JOB SUMMARY

　　The primary function of this role is to troubleshoot, monitor, adjust, and repair manufacturing equipment and machinery throughout the production facility . Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

　　Our manufacturing plant produces premium roofing shingles in a high speed, continuous, asphalt shingle manufacturing process environment.

　　WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE:

　　Maintaining smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment

　　Ability to inspect and perform data collection by using precision measuring and testing instruments.

　　Creating hand sketches of assemblies while understanding dimensional drawings and service costing

　　Inspecting and assessing wear and remaining useful life of various power transmission components

　　Fabricating repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment

　　Utilizing Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

　　Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with Company’s procedures, rules, and regulations

　　Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.

　　This is a full time unionized permanent position.

　　OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

　　Exposure with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls and welding/cutting

　　Prefer 3rd year and above apprentice with experience in a manufacturing environment

　　Must be able to read mechanical drawings (Basic to Intermediate)

　　Must be able to work shifts as well as some extended hours

　　Qualified applicants will have good interpersonal and problem-solving skills and able to work with other trades and operators
