Position Summary
The Manufacturing Technology Technician Intern will partner with the manufacturing engineering and operations teams on a variety of projects and assignments to contribute to the overall business unit objectives. This internship will focus on workplace organization and spare parts and equipment inventory management. This is a full-time Intern position from May to August of 2024, to be based in Maple Grove, MN.
Principal Responsibilities
• 5S spare parts and equipment inventory
• Catalog all spare parts and equipment
• Input spare parts information including cost, location, description, and more into SAP PM Module
• Collaborates cross-functionally with engineers for change management
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education / Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prefer to have candidate enrolled in trade school or community college
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Well organized with attention to detail and ability to carry out tasks independently
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Willingness to learn and ask questions
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
• Exposure to high volume production/output machinery and equipment, and constant noise in the production/plant environment.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
• Consistent lifting: 2 - 20 lbs. necessary/ Max = 50 lbs.
• Engages in walking, sitting, lifting, bending, carrying, talking, and hearing.
