  Collins Aerospace is seeking a Machine Operator, Level 1 to join our Pueblo, Colorado Brakes Machine Shop Team. We are a dynamic carbon brake machining operation. We also create and ship out new carbon for aviation braking systems. In this role, you will learn to run CNC Milling Centre machines and you will have the opportunity to be cross trained in Quality parts inspections. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be trained to use fork truck/pallet lifts, Bar Code scanning equipment, and dust collection systems, along with tools such as precision gauges, drills, and grinders. You are willing to learn and thrive in a team environment.

  Position works onsite at our Pueblo, Colorado Facility

  Shift Schedule: 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. rotates to 6:30 p.m.to 6:30 a.m.

  Shift Rotation: 3 on - 3 off schedule, rotating day/night shift every 4 months

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Learn all necessary machining operations, understand product flow: Learn the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

  Perform machine set ups on CNC machines, CMM’s, and scales for all programs and part types including production and/or engineering parts

  Conduct visual inspections of machine for damage or wear and report to manager

  Learn to effectively read blueprints including geometrical dimension and tolerance (GD&T)

  Inspect Carbon parts per print specifications using gauges and CMM

  Generate inspection reports based on specific criteria

  Follow written and verbal instructions

  Follow all EH&S Safety guidelines

  Comply with all other Collins policies and procedures

  Perform other duties as required

  Basic Qualifications:

  HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, and typically 2 years of relevant experience is required

  U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

  1 to 2 years of experience in CNC machining

  Manufacturing experience

  Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

  This role is referral eligible.

  The salary range for this role is $32,300 to $43,500 however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
