Position:          Principal Application Engineer

　　Hours:             Full time, 40 hours per week

　　Job Duties: Serve as the technical authority for planning, design, and development of assigned domain (vehicle controls, route planning, path planning, GNSS localization). Responsible for the definition and strategic planning for technologies, methodologies and tools for the Advanced Development team. Communicate the strategic plan/roadmap with management and other key stakeholders in the domain. Stay abreast of relevant technologies through industry analysis, technical conferences, and other research methods. Discover, analyze, and maintain requirements for customer and internal projects. Capable of "filling in the holes" in explaining customer requirements to internal stakeholders. Suggest relevant and value-adding features and requirements to customers. Responsible for domain architecture definition for internal and customer projects. Collaborate with advanced development teams to evaluate, implement, and integrate features. Promote and deploy new technologies, methodologies and tools for all phases of product development. Provide coaching and mentorship to local S/W engineers, suppliers, customers, or off-site teams in modifying/implementing design. Perform regular technical reviews of specific domain feature development and integration with feature team leads and software implementation teams. Travel for training, testing, and to customer locations for engineering consultations.

　　Hybrid Telecommute: 2 days/week permissible.

　　Job Requirements: Master's or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related engineering field and three years of experience as a Principal Application Engineer, Electrical Engineer, ADAS Algorithm Developer, Intelligent Vehicle Engineer, or any related job.
