  Group Software Product Manager, Credentials ​ - US Remote

  ​ ​ Job Scope ​

  ​​​The Group Software Product Manager for credentials provides leadership and management for Allegion’s global credential portfolio. The position uses their strong leadership, communication ability, management skills, and broad business acumen to maximize the growth, revenue, and performance of the portfolio. They lead a team of product managers and product owners dedicated to the development of software solutions to deliver mobile credentials and the next generation of interoperable credential solutions. They have deep expertise and understanding of the trends, KPIs and/or financial metrics of credentials applied to the physical access control industry.

  The Group Software Product Manager supports and partners with the Sr. Director of IoT Platforms and Services, with high visibility and interaction with Allegion executive leadership on the development and implementation of innovative strategies within their team to optimize the product portfolio, ensuring that resources are most effectively allocated toward the best opportunities to achieve business goals. They consistently identify and share best practices and continuous improvement opportunities across the function and teams. The Group Software Product Manager acts as both a strategic and cross-functional business leader, to ensure the completion for their assigned product portfolios within their business unit. ​​​

  What You Will Do:

  Responsible for the assigned portfolio and strategy, including potentially multiple Product Roadmaps, while also ensuring alignment and transparent understanding across global business units and stakeholders.

  ​Maintains broad and comprehensive knowledge of the markets and channels of their product line(s) and Allegion markets as well as consumer/customer needs, industry trends and go-to market strategy; participates in industry consortiums and represents Allegion within the industry.

  ​Assesses and evaluates market opportunities & threats to the business unit & Allegion and leads business strategy that enable the business to win, including strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities.

  ​Owns and develops strategic and operational goals and execution plans which have significant impact to the achievement of their product portfolio.

  ​Actively assesses the performance of their assigned business unit product line(s) through financial metrics & KPIs; prioritizes product level elements and activities to best position portfolio for profitable improvement over time.

  ​Excels at developing strong, trusting partnerships with stakeholders using broad influencewithin the business unit and the matrix organization, aligning others toward shared goals without direct authority. Identifiespossible areas of conflict and partners with stakeholder(s) to identify resolutions.

  ​Communicates with senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the business unit portfolio.

  ​Direct management responsibility for a team accountable for performance management, providing actionable feedback, driving development & growth for individuals, team engagement, and allocating resources & projects optimally to drive results.

  Provides leadership and mentorship to other Product Managers inidentifying, evaluating and prioritizing business and product line opportunities to meet business objectives.

  ​Oversees the product life cycle for assigned portfolio lines including new product introductions & innovation opportunities, sunsetting and other enhancements in line with SBU strategy.

  ​Consistently evaluates future market opportunities, threats and internal competencies to adjust product strategy as needed.

  ​Leads development of KPIs and/or business cases in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders that detail sales forecasts, investment, and commercialization strategy for a business opportunity within a business unit or across platforms.

  ​Synthesizes sales, market and other data to serve as inputs to business cases and developments or adjustments to the portfolio and broader business unit strategy.

  ​Presents to the executive leadership team on product line updates, strategy, and prioritization.

  ​Provides leadership and guidance to deeply incorporatevoice of customer (VoC) from key stakeholders into strategy to maximize value of product vision; advocates the customers’ wants and needs, and organize opportunities into practical and digestible features.

  ​ What You Need to Succeed:

  ​

  8-12+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or related experience

  Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

  Expertise in overseeing and translating complex business requirements into software development requirements and/or partnering with software development to lead the delivery of software products using Agile methodology

  Highly skilled at both direct and indirect leadership and influencing, & engaging others with the ability to navigate a matrix organization 

  Skilled in developing strategy, gaining alignment, and diving execution through collaboration and trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

  Clearly articulates portfolio strategy at all levels in the organization.

  Developed capabilities with strategic planning and track record of supporting profitable business growth.

  Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, integrate, and execute new solutions within a business

  Ability to travel up to 25%​​

  ​ ​ Preferred Qualifications & Experience ​

  Experience with mobile credentials partnerships, including major digital wallet platforms

  Strong knowledge of PKI based credential standards

  Demonstrated ability to influence large customers to adopt new technology

  Experience with software/hardware integrations

  5+ years of experience in business & product development, leading innovative software solutions

  Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  The expected Base Salary Range: $150,000 to $210,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
