　　Verdantas is hiring a talented Geotechnical Engineer for an internship or Co-Op for the summer of 2024. experience. This position can be in any of our Wilmington office.

　　As part of the growing Geotechnical and Field Services team, you will gain valuable insight into the daily operations of construction and engineering. 　　Responsibilities:

　　Assist in the investigation and design of building foundations, earthen structures, and roadways

　　Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing, and other methods

　　Assist in preparing detailed plans, technical specifications, and reports

　　Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods

　　Perform geotechnical laboratory analysis at our on-campus laboratory

　　Observe and document field activities and prepare construction documentation reports

　　Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation

　　Perform site inspections under the supervision of senior engineers

　　Demonstrate strong technical writing and communication skills

　　Qualifications:

　　Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

　　Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel

　　Ability to work independently and in a team environment

　　The position may include travel to client sites or fieldwork

　　Previous engineering internship/Co-Op experience is a plus

　　Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
