　　The DBA Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance and performance of critical SQL Server systems, to ensure availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. Working in a highly paced environment the successful candidate will be service focused and will contribute towards the continuous improvement and optimisation of the database service.

　　What You'll Bring:

　　 Day to Day You'll Be: Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.Define and document standard operating principles and maintenance procedures.Identify operational process gaps and contribute to their resolution.Provide input into technical architecture and technology roadmap.Produce and maintain operational technical documentation.Independently analyse and solve complex problems where precedent may not exist.Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.Provide technical consultancy and knowledge support to the wider business. Essential Skills & Experience: In depth knowledge of SQL Server including TSQL, SSIS and SSRS, with experience of writing and reviewing scripts and stored procedures.Experience of MS SQL Server administration in a large service focused corporate environment.Experience of performance tuning and optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Experience of database backups, restores and recovery models.Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.Knowledge of Windows server, including Active Directory and Failover clusters.Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills to identify root cause and permanent resolution.Able to identify and manage risks within line of business.Ability to assess change requirements and implement in accordance with a change management process.Knowledge of ITIL Desirable Skills & Experience: Experience of PowershellExperience of AlwaysOn availability groupsExperience of Service brokerMS SQL Server certification such as MCSA, MCSEImpact You'll Make:
