　　Job Description Primary Function of Position:

　　As part of the advanced imaging and intelligence group, this role has an opportunity to contribute impactful work to the next generation of imaging guidance for robotics surgical systems.

　　Roles & Responsibilities:

　　Under the direction of the mentorDevelop state-of-the-art algorithms in computer vision, and multi-modal registration for medical imaging.Develop ML-based applications for processing real-time video streams on Nvidia GPUs.Conduct scientific-based experiments and record and evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of algorithms.Evaluate system performance in operating room conditions.Prepare a concise report on all aspects of the system for a peer-reviewed scientific submission. Qualifications University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

　　University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week (can be extended up to 24 weeks) period starting May or June.Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process. Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

　　Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related degree-seeking program at the Doctorate level.Proficiency in C/C++ and CUDA programming is required.Excellent background in software design and data structures is required.Excellent background in Convolutional Neural Networks, Transformers, and deep-learning APIs such as TensorFlow, TensorRT is preferred.A track record of peer-reviewed publications in Computer Vision and AI is a plus.Familiarity with embedded system software design is a plus.Must have excellent communication and writing skills. The hourly rate is prorated against the intern program salaries listed and total program compensation will be based on internship duration.
