  Job Summary

  Functions in a lead consultant role or as a lead technical specialist. Responsible for applying advanced techniques and analyses for conventional assignments. Expands knowledge and skill set in practice area and begins to expand knowledge in other practice areas. Works under limited supervision and can lead a small effort or assignment.

  Key Responsibilities

  Production: . Leads the production of studies of comprehensive scope in practice area

  May oversee scope, schedule, and budget

  Coordinates and prepares client deliverable

  Coordination: . Actively coordinates with all internal/external team members

  Responsible for assisting with identification of key client interests

  Capability: . Identifies project risks and issues, and advises project leadership

  Coordinates resolution

  Knowledge: . Recognized by the Division as having in-depth knowledge within practice area

  Fosters knowledge transfer through mentoring and internal training

  May author and present technical papers

  Resources: . Evaluates tools and processes

  Strategizes and leads the implementation of improvements

  People: . Mentors and trains other practice area consultants or specialists

  Business: . Coordinates business development or pursuit activities

  Develops smaller proposals focused in practice area

  May take a lead role interacting with clients

  Management Responsibilities

  Preferred Qualifications

  Bachelor degree in engineering or professional degree in Sciences in area of expertise preferred with specialized training, or experience that uniquely qualifies the individual to perform the job responsibilitiesMinimum Qualifications

  A minimum total of 5 years of related work experience is typically necessary to move into this level. Graduate work may count as related work experience if directly applicable to job function. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
