Marcum LLP, one of the largest independent public accounting and advisory services firms in the country, has an immediate opening for a junior or mid-level IT Business Analyst to be an integral team member in driving business efficiency and transformation through innovation related to the technologies used by the firm's Audit/Assurance Advisory Practice.
Experience with financial audits, audit application analysis, process narratives, or audit product support is REQUIRED.
The BA- Assurance Technology will use a combination of Project management, client services (internal and external clients) and business analyst to improving processes through the use of technology, such as BOT/AI/RPA tools UI Path, Alteryx, Blue Prism, AA), ETL, and/or API. Experience using automation tools is required and InTapp Flow/ Intake is highly desired.
The role will work directly with the Senior Manager - Assurance Technology and the IT Development, RPA and BA teams, as well as with the business in determining requirements and solutions in regards to using/transferring and sharing data as it relates to assurance services and the processes around using the technology.
This Assurance Business Analyst must have the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Must be able to effectively listen and respond to business and IT objectives along with shifting needs based on new work. Must have the flexibility to adapt to changing environment/requirements and manage multiple tasks. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to think outside the box and provide value in new ideas that will translate to measured organizational value.
Required:BS in Accounting, Business Management, Computer Science, or equivalent2-3+ years IT business analyst experience or experience in audit deliveryExperience in performing financial audits.Understanding of Process Mapping, Business Process Reengineering, and Business Process Improvement.Experience with Visio or a similar tool for process for workflow and related process designsExperience developing business requirements, instructional and procedural documentation and/or presentationsAbility to review, and optimize workflow, and automate key activities for repeatable quicker execution of operational tasksExperience in analyzing systems and applications holistically from a the front and back end as well as how the employee can best utilize the application is desired. Data mining experience is a plus.Professional level verbal and written communication skills.Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
