Job Summary This position assembles generator sets and sub-assemblies that include both standard and non-standard product lines. This will require using hand and power tools and following quality and procedural techniques. This will also include contributing to improving processes, contributing to line efficiency, improving different areas of the assembly line, and other tasks given by the Line Lead or supervisor. Job Functions (Essential) Use work instructions, drawings, schematics and equipment used to perform assembly duties of medium complexity in a wider level of work areas (i.e. Line 1 and Large Assembly). Cross train in multiple assembly areas and help in other areas based on necessity. Assist in training new employees learning new work areas on work instructions/standard work. Develop and maintain an understanding of the products assembled and continuous learning of the principles, practices and processes of their job as changes require. Suggest and implement improvements of existing equipment, designs, and/or processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity. Contributes to improving processes, lead times and through-put. Recognize obvious defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship and general quality. Responsible for following safety and environmental procedures and established processes and policies.
