Description:
The individuals in this position will operate a sprinter or box truck to make in home deliveries to individuals who are in hospice care or at home care. Some of these folks are in long term care within their homes or are just leaving the hospital and are in need of specific devices such as hospital beds, oxygen tanks, wheel chairs or a variety of different types of in home medical equipment. The individuals in this position will come in each day, receive a route list of deliveries, grab their phone/tablet out of their identified locker and will receive keys for a preloaded truck to make their deliveries. In some cases, the driver will have to help load or unload items from their truck before leaving for their routes or upon their arrival after their routes are finished. These individuals must be somewhat customer service orientated as they will be helping people that cannot help themselves, ask them to put items in certain areas or show them how to use the devices. In addition, upon arrival to customer's homes, they may have to physically assemble or setup the equipment they are delivering. The drivers do not have to come in physical contact with anyone, but will have to show or explain how each piece works to them after delivery.
1st month - will consist of drivers riding along with experienced drivers, doing deliveries and seeing how the process works, working in the training cell, learning all of the equipment they deliver, how it works, how to set it up and how to explain it to the customer
*training is set to be this way, but they do not send people on deliveries or to deliver product they are not ready to deliver. They will take as much time as needed with people to make sure they are comfortable and all trained in before they are on their own.
Must be willing to submit to a blood TB test, an MVR, a 5 panel instant DT and background with waiver.
