Administrative AssistantChemistry - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (24000066) The Department of Chemistry is seeking an Administrative Assistant. The position will primarily be responsible for providing administrative support to faculty. Duties include, but are not limited to, updating faculty publications in various websites; maintaining departmental faculty web pages; submitting purchase orders via Panther Express, maintaining purchase order records and tracking purchases, poster printing, coordinating travel, and completing and submitting travel and business expense reports. In addition, the position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the department. Duties include the preparation of graduate student recruitment expense reports; the coordination of the theoretical division's meetings and symposia not included in the departmental seminar series and named lecture series; preparation of donor correspondence; and serve as back-up for other departmental administrative and faculty support staff.

Essential Functions Must be able to use a computer and keyboard and be able to use video communication technology (i.e., Zoom, Teams, etc.). Work is frequently conducted by email, telephone, in-person, and/or using video communications technology. The ability to communicate in a clear and concise fashion is essential.
Physical Effort Minimal physical effort required. This position is generally sedentary within an office setting.
