Description
The HR Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the human resource activities of an organization. They oversee the recruitment and hiring process, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. The HR Manager works closely with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract qualified candidates.
Employee Relations:
Address and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances.
Performance Management:
Implement performance management systems to monitor and evaluate employee performance.
Provide guidance on performance improvement plans and professional development.
Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
Communicate benefits information to employees and assist with enrollment processes.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
Facilitate training sessions on HR policies, diversity, and other relevant topics.
Policy Development and Compliance:
Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
HR Strategy and Planning:
Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Contribute to workforce planning and talent management initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Several years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on HR management.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is often preferred.
