MIG Welder

Aerotek is currently looking to hire candidates that have MIG welding experience, preferably on aluminum, but also have experience with stainless steel. This position is located in Baltimore and will pay up to $27/hour, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be welding steel and aluminum, with an emphasis on MIG welding. The ideal candidate will also perform basic metal fabrication, read blueprints, and use various hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and sanders.

Responsibilities

Weld steel and aluminum materials, with a focus on MIG welding.

Perform basic metal fabrication tasks.

Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.

Use hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, and sanders.

Essential Skills

Experience with steel and aluminum welding, including MIG welding.

Experience in welding within aerospace, automotive, or marine industries.

Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions.

Proficient in math and ability to accurately use measuring tools like calipers or a tape measure.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.

Commitment to high standards of workmanship.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Experience with TIG welding.

Experience working on highly technical welding projects.

Experience operating forklifts and other material handling systems.

Work Environment

Our brand new manufacturing site boasts very clean and open areas designated for assembly, welding, and warehousing. The current team of 25 employees is expected to grow to 100 by the end of this year. The work schedule for the first shift is from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $48.00/hr.
