DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:We are currently looking for a Vice President of Engineering to join our team in Exton, PA.
About the Role:As Vice President of Engineering, your leadership will be pivotal in refining our cloud and SaaS product development processes. You will take charge of enhancing and scaling our Engineering/R&D operations, ensuring the delivery of industry-leading solutions. Leading a robust team of professionals, you will foster a culture of excellence and innovation, guiding our talented specialists to cement our standing as a frontrunner in the industry. Knowledge of the Financial Industry / Life Insurance would be a great head start, but being a quick learner with intellectual curiosity should yield the same results. Being insightful to see how small innovations can move the industry, and how today's technology can thrust forward progress.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:* Strategic Oversight: Chart the course for Engineering initiatives that align with our mission to simplify, transform, and connect the industry through innovative solutions.* Project Excellence: Standardize and Optimize project life cycles from conception to completion, ensuring they meet strategic objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.* Technological Advancement: Drive the adoption of new technologies and systems to bolster organizational processes, decision-making, and competitive edge.* Team Leadership: Recruit, inspire, and mentor a team of over 120, fostering an environment where our strong leaders can excel in executing collaborative visions with precision.* Vendor Relations: Strategically select and manage vendor partnerships, ensuring they contribute value and innovation to our projects.* Financial Stewardship: Manage operating and capital budgets effectively, aligning resources with departmental and organizational goals.
Education and Experience:* Essential: Bachelor's degree* Professional: A minimum of twelve years in a leadership role within the R&D space, preferably in tech-focused industries.
Qualifications and Skills:* Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated ability to lead large teams toward achieving complex organizational goals.* Change Management: A track record of successfully managing change and fostering organizational development.* Technical Prowess: Extensive experience with Cloud technologies, AWS, and engineering principles.* Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.* Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical abilities with a knack for identifying trends and opportunities.
