We're seeking a part-time Sr. Cloud Systems Analyst with experience supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure infrastructures and workload business analysis across a large user IT enterprise. This position will work in a hybrid position working remotely as well as with other systems engineers in the customer’s environment to provide cloud business and systems analysis as required.
This is a Part-Time Temporary position with a period of performance of 4 months and 3-4 short duration trips to Stuttgart, Germany. Candidate must have a valid passport and the ability to travel overseas.
Candidate must have a SECRET Security Clearance OR the ability to obtain one within the period of performance.
Job Responsibilities:
Support our government clients in Azure deployments, “lift & shift” migrations and innovative cloud native solutions.
Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
Develop cloud processes from user request all the way to production on Azure and AWS IL4-6 environments
Guide mission owners in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies
Support services before operational deployment through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews.
Scale cloud sustainably through mechanisms such as automation and evolve systems by recommending changes that improve reliability and velocity.
Develop system architecture and system design documentation as required
Understand the design and arrangement of scalable, highly attainable, and fault tolerant systems on AWS and Azure
Evaluate current cloud user request tools, such as ServiceNow, and provide a streamlined mechanism for cloud support requests and execution.
Develop cloud spend tracking and business related decision analysis tools as it pertains to AWS and Azure cloud budgeting for the customer.
Experience/Qualifications
8+ years of Experience in IT field with 2-5 years of expertise with Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure
Must have minimum 5 years direct experience with AWS and/or Azure.
Demonstrated experience designing Azure architectures consistent with Microsoft Azure Well Architected Framework.
Hands-on AWS and/or Azure experience with a minimum of one to two reference of implementations, preferably on enterprise scale.
Knowledge in designing and configuring Azure services for rapid deployment of compute and storage resources in defined configurations
Comprehensive understanding on AWS and/or Azure security services such as identity and access management (IAM), Role & Policy, key management service (KMS), and audit logging.
Demonstrated experience supporting identity services at an enterprise level.
Familiar with Operating Systems (Windows and Linux).
Good working knowledge in any RDBMS – design practices and use cases.
US Citizenship Required
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or associated field)
