About Voice Engineer III/IV (Microsoft Teams)

  Overview

  Engineering role requiring expertise in unified communications, cloud voice technologies, Microsoft Teams, Oracle SBC, SIP protocol, and tier 3-4 operational support. Significant experience supporting unified communications in large enterprise environments. To provide technical direction and engineering support for projects and infrastructure. Develop and maintain advanced functional knowledge of evolving voice and network engineering industry technologies/competition, concepts, and trends.

  Responsibilities

  • Full life-cycle project management

  o Establish and lead project teams

  o Develop project plan/scope/schedule/cost/communications

  o Procure and/or manage resources/timelines/deadlines/quality

  o Risk, Issue and Change management

  o Ensure successful project implementation

  o Scope of responsibility

  • Lead, guide and mentor less experienced staff

  • Provide input and make budgetary recommendations regarding staffing and equipment

  • Apply engineering principles into the design and enhancement of new and existing systems

  • Document new system components, or modifications to existing components

  • Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions including compliance with Navy Federal, industry engineering and Information Security principles and practices

  • Perform engineering tasks and assignments in support of business needs

  • Perform engineering technology research, procurement, deployment, and configuration for new and modified systems

  • Provide technical leadership in the architecture discipline and development of information technology solutions

  • Present clear, organized and concise information to all audiences through a variety of media to enable effective business decisions

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience

  • Advanced hands-on experience and knowledge with Microsoft Teams Voice and Direct Routing

  • Advanced hands-on experience with the SIP protocol and analyzing call flows

  • Advanced hands-on telephony experience within MS Teams, Oracle SBC/ECB, and/or AT&T routing of Universal/International Toll-Free routing

  • Significant hands-on experience and knowledge with Cloud providers (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS)

  • Significant experience working in a heavily-regulated, complex environment with standardized processes

  • Significant hands-on experience with cloud contact center technologies

  • Significant hands-on experience integrating Oracle SBC/ECB and MS Teams platforms

  • Significant hands-on experience Oracle SBC network design, configuration, support, and maintenance

  • Strong proficiency with direct routing, E.164 dial plans, e911, SIP Trunking, PowerShell scripting, and MS Teams routing policies

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and research problems of a complex nature, make reasonable decisions, and recommend solutions

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in process, requirements, goals, and organizational change

  • Requires excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff.

  • Improves systems by studying current practices, designing modifications. Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.

  • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Ability to learn and lead development of technical specifications

  • Provides engineering support for large-scale 24x7 operational environment, including off-hours

  • Working knowledge of engineering discipline

  • Advanced database and presentation software skills

  • Advanced research, analytical, and problem solving skills

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced word processing and spreadsheet software skills

  • Effective organizational, planning and time management skills

  • Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions

  Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications (such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer or Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer)

  • Strong Genesys framework experience (configuration and implementation)

  • Proficient with Genesys CCpulse , GAX (Genesys Administrator Extension), GA (Genesys Administrator) & Kazimir

  Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
