  The VP Operations for Henry Ford OptimEyes develops, communicates, and implements short-term and long-term vision and business strategies for Henry Ford OptimEyes, a retail eye care division of Community Care Services, Henry Ford Health System. Responsible for the operating performance of the division (approximately $85M in annual revenue) with multiple sites (over twenty-two sites) and a full service eyeglass manufacturing lab that allows us to get your products to you immediately. Responsible for ensuring the division meets its annual long-term financial and revenue growth targets, as well as shaping a high performance/employer of choice work environment/culture and industry leading customer service standards. Provides leadership and direction to the division senior management team.

  PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Accountable for all aspects of daily business operations, including finance, cash management, billing/AR Management, vendor management, third party contracts, marketing, field operations, purchasing, lab, technology, OD relations, product distribution and warehousing.

  Responsible for managing the medical services and referrals with the retail side of the business and managing relationships with Ophthalmology partners.

  Responsible for creating, communicating and implementing both short-term and long-term business strategies that drive both profit and revenue growth.

  Must be able to develop an innovative and entrepreneurial vision for the organization with clearly defined measurements for success that are understood by employees at all levels of the business unit.

  Responsible for interfacing with the broader Health System Leadership and driving alignment with System mission, vision and values, as well as System business unit strategies.

  Responsible for assuring best in class customer service standards and continuity of excellence in customer service across the entire OptimEyes division.

  Accountable for assuring that all areas of the division function with the highest level of integrity and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  Must lead and continue to build and foster a culture where listening and communication is valued; where each employee is respected, involved and is provided opportunities to maximize their potential.   EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Health Care, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred.

  Ten to fifteen (10-15) years of experience in retail, medical services, or related environment. Experience in the eye care industry strongly preferred.

  Must have experience in managing all aspects of multi-site retail or medical services operation, including: marketing, distribution, quality control, customer service(s) and financial performance.

  Ability to manage complex relationships within large multi-discipline health care institution ie Henry Ford Health.

  Must possess excellent leadership and communication skills to be successful at the retail level and the corporate level.

  Must be able to display a proven track record of creating and executing a strategic vision with outstanding business results.

  Experience in technology and manufacturing a process end to end is a plus.

  Ability to create an environment that rewards teamwork and accountability.

  Strong entrepreneurial skills and/or background is highly desirable in this role.
