As a Business Development/Capture Manager for AWS focusing on Intelligence Community customers and IDIQ contract vehicles, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead, shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, and other AWS services).

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements.
Key job responsibilities
• Work with NatSec Sales teams to develop and maintain a multi-year pipeline of cloud-related opportunities, develop and implement bid strategies, proposal approaches and technical solutions, and lead written proposals for Intelligence Community customers and APN partners.
• Work in a fast-paced IDIQ environment featuring agility and responsiveness to Intelligence Community mission requirements
• Work with the field and partner sales teams to drive business growth and best practices
• Possess a relevant industry background that enables you to engage and communicate effectively in a wide range of technical and business discussions with AWS colleagues, APN partners, and customers.
• Have demonstrable technical knowledge and the expertise to support account managers and solution architects in development of innovative cloud-based solutions, proposal win themes, and differentiators.
• Have hands-on experience in capture management resulting in capture of individual contracts valued in excess of $25M.
• Identify bid opportunities through direct interactions with existing and prospective NatSec customers, as well as through a wide range of industry forums and procurement resources.
• Serve as a key member of the AWS Public Sector team identifying and responding to new business opportunities.
• Have experience with government acquisition guidelines and compliance requirements.
About the team
Our US Federal BD/Capture team includes technical business development, capture and acquisition professionals who operate across virtually every segment of the US Federal market: Federal Civilian, Federal Finance, DoD, National Security, Aerospace and Satellite Solutions, and Non/Not-for-Profits organizations. This team builds internal and external relationships and integrates resources from AWS Sales and numerous other parts of the business to help our partners win cloud-enabled business. We are a driven, creative, and dynamic team that thrives on collaboration across organizational lines. Basic Qualifications
5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
6+ years of professional or military experience
6+ years of responding to requests for proposals (e.g., determining requirements, matching requirements to technical approach and solutions, developing solutions against requirements) experience
8+ years of business development/capture management experience with the State of California or other large state government customers (Experience selling into higher education institutions or systems a plus)
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
Preferred Qualifications
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
Experience with technology transformation initiatives
Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
Management and/or strategy consulting experience, Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or procurement related certifications
